Mika Lechler is originally from Hobbs, N.M. where she spent her childhood. She later moved to Conroe, Texas, graduated as salutatorian of her high school and attended the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor for her undergraduate degree in Nursing. During this time, she solidified her decision to work in the Emergency Department upon graduation.

She began her nursing career at Conroe Regional Medical Center in the ED as a staff nurse in 2003. She was trained in all areas of illness and trauma ranging from very minor to critical. She cared for patients with cardiac, neurological, surgical, mental health, and pediatric emergencies, among other things. She served several years as a charge nurse and helped lead a team of nurses in the department.

“My goal has always been to bring compassionate medical care to my community. In times of illness or injury, I want to be the one to lean on for sound medical advice, thorough treatment, solid experience, and heartfelt care. Our patients deserve nothing less.”

After working hard as a registered nurse for almost 15 years, Mika decided to go back to school and study to become a nurse practitioner. She attended South University and graduated in 2018 with her graduate degree in nursing. The next phase of her career took her to Texas Children’s Hospital where she spent 2 ½ years in the Emergency Center working as an NP. She was able to develop more of a specialization as a provider to children, which ultimately has brought her to Family First Urgent Care. Mika enjoys working with patients of all ages, spending time with them through education, and providing excellent care.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her children, attending music events, learning new hobbies, and relaxing. She is very excited to be a part of Family First Urgent Care and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of providers.
